Architect / 髙木貴間（Yoshichika Takagi）

1975年北海道札幌市生まれ。1998年北海学園大学建築学科卒業後、AAスクール留学を経て、東京・札幌の設計事務所で設計長を務めた。2012年から
高木貴間建築設計事務所を主宰。現在は札幌を拠点に、住宅や店舗などの設計に取り組むかたわら、北海学園大学で非常勤講師として後進の指導にあたっています。

Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido in 1975. After graduating from HGU and studying at the AA School in London, he worked as Chief Designer at architectural firms in Tokyo and Sapporo. In 2012, he founded his own practice, based in Sapporo, designing houses and commercial spaces while teaching part-time at HGU.

国内外で建築活動を展開し、複数の建築賞を受賞。2010年にはイギリスのAR Awards for Emerging Architecture（若手建築家の国際建築賞）で優秀賞。2016年にJIA北海道建築大賞奨励賞、2019年に日本建築設計学会Architects of the Yearに選出、2022年にはJIA北海道建築大賞住宅部門最優秀賞を受賞し、日本建築学会作品選集にも選ばれています。

He has received multiple awards for his architectural work both in Japan and abroad. In 2010, he was selected as a Runner-up in the AR Awards for Emerging Architecture in the U.K., an internationally recognized prize for young architects. He later received the JIA Hokkaido Architectural Grand Prize – Encouragement Award (2016), was named one of the Architects of the Year by the Architectural Design Association of Nippon (2019), and won the JIA Hokkaido Architectural Grand Prize – Best Residential Category (2022). His work was also selected for inclusion in the Annual Selected Architectural Works of the Architectural Institute of Japan.

札幌を中心に多数の建築展に参加。2009年「Architecture December / RAJ」（内田洋行U-cala）、2011年「ティンバライズ建築展」（北海道工業大学）、2020年「北海道の『感性』が生み出す建築」（ギャラリー創）などのグループ展に加え、2021年には赤れんがテラス眺望ギャラリー・テラス計画で初の個展「境界を揺さぶる」を開催しました。

He has taken part in numerous architectural exhibitions, mainly in Sapporo, such as Architecture December / RAJ (Uchida Yoko U-cala, 2009), Timberize Exhibition (Hokkaido Institute of Technology, 2011), and Architecture Created by Hokkaido’s Sensibility (Gallery So, 2020). In 2021, he presented his solo exhibition Shaking Boundaries at the Akarenga Terrace Gallery “Terrace Keikaku” in Sapporo.

各地で建築に関する講演やシンポジウムに登壇。2009年の「Architecture December 2009 / RAJシンポジウム」を皮切りに、2011年にはJIA岐阜主催の「建築塾2011」で講演。2016年には北海学園大学建築学科主催の単独レクチャー「建築スクール vol.3」や、JIA北海道・北海道大学共催の「建築家による公開レビュー」に参加しました。近年では、2021年に北海道大学主催のシンポジウム「Architecture Dialogues in Hokkaido ― 戦後北海道の建築界を描く」や、gallery IHAで「沖縄と北海道気候風土と建築の組み立て」に登壇。2024年には日本建築学会バイオクライマティックデザイン小委員会シンポジウム「寒冷地域の半屋内外空間を考える」にて講演を行いました。

He has given numerous lectures and participated in architectural symposia across Japan. Starting with the Architecture December 2009 / RAJ Symposium, he lectured at Architecture School 2011 organized by JIA Gifu. In 2016, he took part in Architecture School vol.3 hosted by the Department of Architecture at Hokkai-Gakuen University and in the Public Review by Architects jointly organized by JIA Hokkaido and Hokkaido University.In recent years, he has been invited to the symposium Architecture Dialogues in Hokkaido – Depicting the Postwar Architectural Scene of Hokkaido (Hokkaido University, 2021) and the Gallery IHA Autumn Lecture 2021 titled Okinawa and Hokkaido: Climate, Culture, and Architecture. In 2024, he presented a lecture at the Architectural Institute of Japan Symposium on Bioclimatic Design, discussing semi-outdoor spaces in cold regions.

国内外の建築専門誌やデザイン誌（新建築住宅特集、カーサ ブルータス、The Architectural Review、Arquitectura Vivaなど）で作品が紹介されています。また、国内外の建築ウェブメディアや、テレビ番組などのメディア出演も行っています。

His works have been featured in major architectural and design magazines in Japan and abroad, including Shinkenchiku Jutaku Tokushu, Casa Brutus, The Architectural Review, and Arquitectura Viva.
They have also been introduced in international architectural web media and television programs.
